As the year 2024 draws to a close, it’s abundantly clear that this holiday season will be a far cry from the norm. Gone are the days of bustling, crowded holiday parties filled with strangers. Instead, we find ourselves in a world where the concept of celebration has been reimagined. But don’t let that dampen your spirits! After months of donning our coziest sweats while working from home, the holidays present the perfect opportunity to add a touch of glamour, even if it’s just for a family Zoom call. I’m absolutely thrilled to partner with my friends at Stuart Weitzman and share how I’m sprucing up my holiday looks with their dazzling new Shine Capsule collection.
Dressing for an Intimate Dinner Party

In the realm of holiday fashion, the Little Black Dress (LBD) is a timeless classic, a surefire choice that never fails to impress. And when paired with a pair of statement – making booties like the Carine Crystal booties I’m currently smitten with, it’s a match made in sartorial heaven. These booties are the ideal addition to your outfit for an intimate holiday dinner party. They exude an air of effortlessness, making you look effortlessly stylish without any fuss. And if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, a tinsel boa can add that extra touch of festive drama, although it’s completely optional.
What I adore about these booties is their perfect balance of glamour and comfort. The bling factor is just right – enough to make a statement but not so over – the – top that it becomes gaudy. The pointed toe not only adds a touch of elegance but also has the flattering effect of elongating and slimming the legs. Plus, the heel height is just perfect, providing a bit of elevation without sacrificing comfort, allowing you to enjoy your dinner and conversation without any foot fatigue.
Outfitting for a Family Staycation
Staycations have been a beloved tradition in my family for years. When it comes to packing for these at – home getaways during the holidays, I always seek out items that are chic, comfortable, and versatile. Enter the Mulearky Ballsoffire mules from Stuart Weitzman. These mules tick all the boxes and then some. You can effortlessly slide them on with a pair of jeans, as I’ve done, creating a laid – back yet stylish look. Or, if you’re in the mood to dress things up a bit, they pair equally well with a fun holiday dress. This ensemble is tailor – made for our annual family gingerbread house competition, where you want to look good while also being able to move around freely and get your hands dirty (in a fun, festive way, of course).
Attiring for a Mini NYE Soirée
New Year’s Eve has evolved significantly since my carefree twenties. And this year, with all the changes, it calls for a unique approach to dressing. For me, it’s all about a pair of shiny sling – back kitten heels, like the Dede Slingbacks, and a silky suit that feels as luxurious as a pair of high – end pajamas. As a mom, I’m usually tucked in bed long before the clock strikes midnight. In fact, we often celebrate with the East Coast time zone. But that doesn’t mean I can’t add a bit of sparkle and dance around the living room with my daughters. These shoes and the suit give me that touch of glamour I crave while still keeping me comfortable enough to enjoy the evening at home.
This year has been challenging for everyone, but I’m filled with hope and anticipation for a fresh start in 2025. I feel incredibly blessed to have had so much quality time with my daughters this year. As I raise a glass of champagne to bid farewell to 2024, I’m looking forward to new beginnings. I’m curious to know how you all will be celebrating the holidays differently this year. Share your plans in the comments below and let’s spread some holiday cheer, even in these unconventional times.
